WFW: Autumn Days...

Praise be to the name of God forever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons…”
Daniel 2:20

I love fall -- it's my favorite time of year! I love the cooler weather - the cozy sweaters, open windows, smell of leaves crunching in the yard (yes, I meant to say smell!), apple cider, pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, pumpkin cookies ... really anything pumpkin! I love fires in the woodstove, hayrides, bonfires, boots, scarves, shorter days, the beautiful colors of the trees... I love it all!! I love that God made all the seasons and delights in each one. Each is unique and beautiful in it's own way. I love knowing that the seasons change because God made them change -- He orchestrates this big ball we call earth and all of nature cries out to attest to that fact. May you see the glory of God in this autumn day! :)

Be Blessed and Happy Autumn (1 day late)

There's just something about the smell of fall.

Unfortunately here in Louisiana we have to wait a bit longer. Still muggy and hot outside.

I am waiting for fall with joyful anticipation!

He changes times and seasons... indeed He does. isn't our God simply amazing? it's so encouraging to be reminded that He is in control and He knows everything that's happening in our lives.

God bless.

Thanks for the thoughts, Lauren.

Out in Colorado, the temperature has wasted no time in changing. We are below 30* and frost warnings every night. The mountains the distance are whiter and whiter everyday.

I miss you.

Hello dear Lauren,

You said it all right here…I feel exactly the same way…autumn…I like the sound of that word…is the best time of the year with the best holiday of the year! No commercialism and no one expects to be given anything…we are all just giving thanks.

My husband was telling me about something he was reading this morning…how we should make Christ the focus of our lives…not people, which is the wrong goal, because you will wear out by making people your focus, where as with Christ as your focus, you will have true peace and contentment. Good…hun?
