WFW: Hinds Feet on High Places

"The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places."
Habakkuk 3:19

I have been reading Hinds Feet on High Places by Hannah Hurnard. Again. I love this book. It must be my all time favorite. The first time I read it I was in the throws of my journey of loss and infertility. I cannot explain the comfort it brought me and the courage and motivation to go on with life and grow through the experience. If you haven't read this book PLEASE DO! It is a must read for any Christian woman! The image above is depicting the main character "Much-Afraid" and her two companions "Sorrow" and "Suffering." They are helping her up the steep mountains so that she can live in the High Places with the Great Shepard.

I have precious memories of my dad reading it to my sister and I at bedtime when we were little.

I've always been amazed that no one has made a companion women's study with that book...it just "screams" to be written...well, not by me but...It is an amazing verse...and I love your WFW depiction!

I have never read this book; can you believe it? This is a beautiful portrait of God's comforting presence. How thankful I am for his companioning alongside me in all of my seasons. I'm so glad you've known a similar comfort along the way.

Lauren,

God used you today to speak right to my heart. I came over here to let you know that you are the winner of my "questions answered" post from last week.

This was the word the Lord used for me last year, and I heard it again this morning while driving home from taking my son to school. Now, here it is again. Praise God, I needed to hear this today. And I most definitely need to get this book.

Hugging you with my heart Lauren.

Joanne
