Radical

I've had a couple books on my must read list this summer and this is one of them...

I finished Radical last week... it's left me with a lot of thinking, praying, and decision making to do. I'm hoping to take some time (now that Youth Week and VBS are over) to re-examine the way I live my life and the things I do that fill my time. I've been challenged and now it's all up to me how I respond to that challenge.

I strongly encourage you to read this book as well!

Hey Lauren! I just finished this book a couple of weeks ago..It hurt, but I LOVED the way it challenged me and caused me to reflect.....Here are a couple of resources I am using for the year challenge:

www.operationworld.org I set that to be a backup home page so every time I launch explorer, it comes up behind my home page. It reminds me to pray for the country of the day....It's a great resource and it's free. I've learned so much about geography in addition to praying. It's really interesting....
Also, I went to:
www.oneyearbibleonline.com It sends me the reading each day too. I actually like to read it in my bible, but I write the passages down on a post-it.....I set it as a backup on the homepage too. That way, I don't forget. I'm glad you read it too.:)

GREAT book!

My husband is preaching a sermon series based on this book, and most of the congregation purchased the book to read along with the series.

I loved that book too! Have you read The Hole in our Gospel yet? It was a great book too!

This book has been on my 'to read' list for some time. I heard it has the tendency to shake things up about how we spend our time and money. I'm glad to read what you wrote.

I'm in the middle of it right now! It is so thought provoking. So often I am disenchanted with the less-radical church, but it is also often off-putting to see "radical Christians" that aren't zealous for the right things. This book has been really inspiring so far, and I look forward to reading the rest of it!
