Christmas Stocking Fundraiser!

We finally received our court date last Thursday! We will be in court in Ethiopia on January 17th. BUT, we arrive in Ethiopia on the 14th and meet our boy for the first time on the 15th! We get to spend two whole days with him before court, and then we get to spend all day on the 18th with him before we fly out that night. Honestly, it's further away than I had hoped, but God's timing is perfect and 9 1/2 weeks ain't too bad! :)

So, this means we need to come up with the rest of our travel money as quick as we can. I've been brainstorming and trying to get my creative juices flowing. We need about $2,300 to have all the funds we need to bring Tucker home. I still can't even believe we've come so far - God is good! With Christmas season coming up and me overhearing folks talking about stockings - I thought I'd make a few and see if they sold.

So, these stockings are hand made and quilted by yours truly. They are $25 each and that includes any name you want cross stitched on the cuff.

This one's called Christmas Tree Plaid:

The squares are red fabric with white ovals and little Christmas trees in the center of each oval. The strips and cuff are green plaid. The inside is fully lined with red cotton fabric and the back is the red tree print.

This one is the Candy Cane Stocking:

The darker squares are red fabric with candy cane clusters all over, and the lighter squares are thin white and red stripe fabric. The inside is fully lined with solid red cotton fabric and the back is the red and white stripe fabric. The cuff and hanger are the red with candy cane cluster fabrics.

ALL of the money earned from these stockings will go to bring home our baby boy! I will sell them until I run out of fabric! :) Each stocking has hours of handmade love put into it and is a wonderful present for your loved one! To order a stocking please email me at laurenalexis1{at}gmail{dot}com and put "christmas stocking" as your subject line. Please keep in mind that I will add $3 for shipping to your order! :)

I have two more designs I'm working on and I'll add these as they get finished! :)

Those are really cute! I have to get my shopping list together and then figure out who I need to buy one for! :D I bet you feel better just knowing the dates that you get to travel! So, do you visit him that time and then go back a few weeks later to bring him home? Is that how it works? I'm so excited that it's finally almost here for you!!
