Reunited

We had a very special time on Saturday. The family who was one spot ahead of us on the waitlist, and received their referral just 3 days before we received ours came over for most of the day! They don't live anywhere near us, but were driving through the area on their way home from a vacation. Super exciting! Their son, Micah, was Mareto's roommate in Ethiopia. They spent a lot of time together at Hannah's Hope. Micah is almost a year older than Mareto so he remembers everything. We had no idea if they would remember or recognize each other ... but they did! It was the most precious thing to see!

They held hands...
They hugged...

They laughed a lot...

And they couldn't stop kissing each other...

All day long they were all over each other snuggling and hugging and kissing with no prompting from us parents! They shared their food at lunch - Micah kept trying to feed Mareto. It was so funny! We just couldn't believe it! They have both been around other children a lot and they have never acted like this so we are 100% convinced that they remember each other.

It was totally melt-your-heart-into-a-puddle precious!! I think Mareto needs an Ethiopian brother. ;) Micah's parents are already on their way to giving him an Ethiopian brother. :) I can't wait to get these two together again!

We had a similar reaction with our travel group. It is amazing the bond these little ones can have.
