Miscellany Monday

We've just been plugging along as usual. Life is speeding by much faster with our little man - I wish there was a way to slow the clock! Here's what is happening in our little family:

1. John (aka wonderful husband and "dada") is in his last year of the theology part of seminary. His final semester is in the spring and then he'll begin his Christian education portion of his joint degree in the summer. Just a little less than two years left and he will have TWO master's degrees! I am so proud of him and his endurance. He works hard all day and into the night, but still makes time for Mareto and me. We're very blessed that God gave John to us.

2. Mareto is really and truly walking now!! He can walk around the whole house with just a few tumbles every now and then. He's crawling less and less. He keep his hands up for balance and it's super cute...

3. We've been cooped up in the house for a loooong time. Last Saturday, as in 10 days ago, Mareto got a little fever. He STILL has this fever. Within a day or two he had an awful cough and tons of congestion. Then he developed an ear infection. So he's on antibiotics, tylenol, and benedryl and we are on day 10 of this gunk. Poor little guy...

4. The good news is that he's feeling much better from the picture above and is acting like himself, so we ventured out for a fun family day at the pumpkin patch, petting zoo, hay stack place today. Mareto had a blast! He loved the pumpkins, adored playing in the haystack, and even enjoyed petting some baby goats!

We're so happy fall is here! Every new season with my wonderful son is amazing. We're just cherishing every moment with him!
